Privacy Policy
Last updated: 19 October 2026
1. About this policy. Tijori is a personal and family document vault operated by Shilpi Cloud Services. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and how we protect it — in line with India's IT Act (SPDI Rules, 2011) and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
2. Information we collect. Account details you give us: your name, email, mobile number and a secure hash of your password. Content you choose to add to your vault: family details, documents, property, insurance, bank details, vehicles and identity numbers such as PAN. We store only what you add. If you add details about family members, you confirm that you are authorised to do so and have informed them.
3. Aadhaar & sensitive IDs. Aadhaar is stored in masked form — only the last 4 digits of the number are kept. Please upload only the documents you actually need us to hold.
4. Why we use your data. Only to run the service for you: to keep your vault, send reminders you set, verify you with OTPs, process your subscription and send account or payment notices. We never use your data for advertising and send no marketing without your clear consent.
5. Consent & your control. We process your personal data based on the consent you give when you sign up and add information. You can withdraw that consent anytime by editing or deleting your data, or by closing your account.
6. How we protect your data. We use reasonable security practices, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), bcrypt-hashed passwords, encryption of sensitive ID numbers and restricted access. Your account data is hosted in India; documents you upload are encrypted and stored with our cloud storage provider, and may be processed outside India as permitted by applicable law. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Sharing & third parties. We never sell your data. To run the service we use trusted service providers — cloud hosting and storage, an SMS gateway for OTPs, an email provider for notices and a payment gateway for your subscription — each only for its purpose. If you connect a third-party app or AI assistant to your Tijori, its use of your information is governed by that provider's own terms, and we are not responsible for it. No advertisers or data brokers.
8. Data retention. We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, your data is removed from our active systems straight away; there may be a short delay before remaining copies are cleared from backups. We keep only the records we must keep by law, such as tax invoices. If your subscription is not renewed, your data is deleted as described in our Terms.
9. Your rights. You can see, correct or delete your data at any time from your profile, and withdraw consent. To raise a request or a complaint about your data, contact our Grievance Officer below — we acknowledge within 24 hours and resolve within 15 days. If you are not satisfied, you may escalate to the Data Protection Board of India.
10. Children's data. Tijori is meant for adults (18+). If you add a family member under 18, you do so as their parent or guardian and are responsible for the information you add about them.
11. Data breach. If a breach ever affects your personal data, we will act without delay and notify you and the Data Protection Board as required under the DPDP Act, 2023.
12. Cookies. We use only essential cookies to keep you logged in. No tracking or third-party advertising cookies.
13. Changes to this policy. We may update this policy from time to time. For significant changes we will notify you by email; the latest version on this page always applies. If a translated version differs, the English version prevails.
