Is my data really safe? What if Tijori gets hacked?
All traffic is HTTPS-encrypted and passwords are bcrypt-hashed — even our engineers can’t read them. Servers in India, daily backups. And the strongest protection: we never store full account numbers, card numbers, PINs or passwords — so even in the worst case, they simply aren’t there to steal.
Excel or Drive are free — why pay?
You can use them. But Excel won't remind you before your insurance expires, nor build a printable handover for your family. Tijori is built specifically for household documents and dates.
If I cancel the subscription, will my data be gone?
No. Your data stays yours — the Family Handover booklet can be printed or saved as PDF anytime. On account deletion everything is removed within 30 days.
Will my family be able to use it if something happens to me?

How do I keep all my family's important documents in one place?

Is there an app that reminds me before my insurance, PUC, RC or passport expires?
Yes. Tijori reminds you well before motor insurance, PUC, vehicle RC, passport, driving licence, FD maturity and locker-rent deadlines. This matters in India: driving without valid insurance can mean a ₹2,000 fine (₹4,000 if repeated), and driving without a valid PUC can attract a fine of up to ₹10,000 under the Motor Vehicles Act — plus a rejected claim if your cover has lapsed.
How is Tijori different from DigiLocker?
DigiLocker is a government wallet for government-issued documents (Aadhaar, PAN, RC, licences), is Aadhaar-linked and meant for one individual. Tijori is a private family vault: it records the location and details of everything — including insurance, property, bank, locker and will — sends renewal reminders, and generates a printable Family Handover document. The two work well together.
What is the difference between a nominee and a legal heir in India?
A nominee is only a custodian who receives an asset on death and is meant to pass it to the legal heirs; ownership is decided by your will or by succession law. This is why nomination alone is not enough — families need a will plus a clear record of what exists and where. Tijori records nominee details alongside where your will is kept, so nothing is missed.
Do I need a will, or is recording where everything is enough?
You need both. A will decides who legally inherits; a record of where everything is lets your family actually find and claim it. Recording asset locations does not replace a will — but it prevents the common situation where the family knows a will exists yet cannot locate it, the policies, or the bank accounts. Tijori organises the "where", complementing your legal will.
How can NRIs keep track of their parents' or their own assets in India?
NRIs should keep one shared, up-to-date record of every Indian asset — bank accounts, FDs, property, insurance and nominees — before a crisis, because handling succession from abroad often needs apostilled documents, a power of attorney, and sometimes a succession certificate when no nominee was set.
